The Massage Therapy Center isn’t really about us—it’s about you. It’s about how you feel, work, sleep, and—most importantly—how you live.

For more than 35 years the professionals who practice at the Massage Therapy Center have helped more than 30,000 clients live better by performing more than 250,000 massages and facials. But the only massage or skin care treatment that matters today is yours. Even if you’re new to the Center, your session started 35 years ago.

Our Founder is currently the CEO of the California Massage Therapy Association, which oversees state certification for more than 60,000 massage therapists.

Back in 1988, he was one of the country’s most respected massage therapists and massage instructors with a practice that attracted an international clientele of world leaders, business moguls, athletes, and a roster of Hollywood personalities which resembled the VIP list of the Oscars®; but his dream was to create a place that would be home to some of the country’s best master-level massage therapists. On June 1st, 1988, his dream came true the day the Center first opened. From that first day, the Center has always been different.

Here’s how:

Practitioners offer full 60 and 90–minute sessions rather than 50 or 80-minute sessions so you never feel rushed.
Practitioners always set their own schedules so they’re never working on you when they’d rather be doing something else.
There’s always at least a 15-minute break between sessions so your Practitioner will be rested, refreshed, and focused on you.
There’s no extra charge for advanced massage techniques like deep tissue or Shiatsu. You always pay the same flat rate whether you request a specific technique or have your massage therapist custom-craft your session from a range of specialties.

The Massage Therapy Center was named the country’s “Most Prestigious Center for Therapeutic Massage” by Massage Magazine. And we are proud to say that both clients and therapists from the first days are still at the Center today.
